【Industry News】TSMC Achieved Its Highest-Ever February Sales, Reaching $5.7 billion
In February, TSMC, the world's largest contract chipmaker, achieved a record-high revenue of $5.7 billion, marking an 11.3% increase compared to the same period last year. The total revenue for January and February this year reached approximately $12.6 billion, also setting a new high for the same period and reflecting a 9.4% increase from the previous year.

Fueled by demand from smartphones, notebooks, and AI-related HPC, TSMC saw a rise in wafer shipments, resulting in a 14% surge in revenue to reach $19.66 billion in the fourth quarter of 2023.
TSMC is accelerating its expansion plans.Its majority-owned manufacturing subsidiary in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, is set to build a second fab, with plans for it to begin operation by the end of the 2027 calendar year.
Market research provider TrendForce anticipates that despite facing challenges such as a weak global economy and a slow market recovery, in 2024, TSMC, benefiting from steady advanced process orders, is positioned to far exceed the industry average in growth.
