WSTS adjusted forecast upward; Trends for Core Electronics Components in Q2 2024

June 28, 2024

In June, WSTS adjusted its Spring 2024 forecast upwards, with the latest market valuation at approximately $611 billion, projecting a year-over-year growth of 16.0% for the global semiconductor market and reflecting the strong performance over the past two quarters.

However, from the perspective of specific product categories, the number of categories achieving positive growth remains limited. WSTS expects that two main categories will drive growth throughout 2024: logic chips are expected to grow by 10.7%, and memory by 76.8%. Other categories are expected to see single-digit declines.

We have combined the latest market report released by the global electronic component distributor Future Electronics to present the trends in lead times and prices for key components in Q2 2024, helping to understand the subsequent market dynamics and delivery changes for electronic components.
